Mission Statement

The Wayne Housing Commission’s mission is to provide safe, decent and sanitary housing conditions for low-income and very low-income families and to manage resources efficiently. The Wayne Housing Commission is to promote personal, economic and social upward mobility to provide families the opportunity to make the transition from subsidized to non-subsidized housing.

Board Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month in the Wayne City Hall Conference room located at 3355 S. Wayne Rd, Wayne, MI 48184 at 6:00 P.M.

Properties

The Wayne Housing Commission offers housing at various locations within the City of Wayne.  We do not offer the Section 8 Voucher Program.  Rental charges are based on 10% of the tenant’s gross yearly income, or 30% of their net income, whichever is greatest, OR a flat rent fee can be assessed if the tenant prefers.
